This was one of the poems that made such an impression on a young man, Robert Zimmerman, that it led him to change his name to...Bob Dylan. The similarities are not obvious, but I believe the mix of fear, sadness, and reluctant acceptance of death bring about a similar mood. They both capture the precise feeling of the realization of mortality.
